Pray for your husband’s prayer life today.
Bless your husband today with specific prayer.
Make your husband some coupons for help with some of his spring chores.
Don’t give them to him yet.
Begin making a “Happy May 1st” basket. It can be made out of a construction paper cone (nothing very heavy can go in this) or a real basket. Put a copy of your SPRING acrostic in it along with your coupons. Slip in some of his favorite candy.
You can also add coupons for his favorite dessert, meal, movie or whatever.
You can also add a flower.
Give this to him May 1st.
make a card or write in your “I love you” journal–
(your husband’s name here) is like spring because he is:
S- spontaneous (natural)
P-perennial (present at all seasons of the year; enduring;constant)
R- renewed (made new)
I-irreplaceable
N-necessary
G-growing
Whenever you get in close proximity to him give your husband a hug. Vary the intensity from short and sweet to squeeze the breath out of him.
Enjoy.
Ask your husband what his goals are for the summer? Make a list including his goals and yours. Then the two of you prioritize the list. Rewrite it and put it where it will be seen. Mark off each goal as it is accomplished. Be sure to congratulate each other for each accomplishment.
I know I have recently done this tip but the Lord just won’t let me use anything else for today. Maybe because my husband is going to Dearborn (2 hours one way) instead of his normal 1 hour commute.
Pray for safety during your husband’s commute today.
Go through your husband’s closet. Remove shirts that have: frayed cuffs or collars, have been worn so much you can see his elbows through the sleeves, have not been worn in over a year, or are stained.
With the remaining shirts: check for missing or loose buttons then replace or tighten them.
Arrange the shirts according to sleeve length and then by color. Will make his choice of shirt tomorrow much easier.
Tell your husband today how proud you are of the way he provides and cares for his family.
Bless your husband today with your words.
Ask your husband to go for a bike ride or a walk with you.
Bless your husband with some quality time.
Pray for your husband as he daily fends off the “fiery darts of the wicked.”
Eph 6:16, “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
