It has been determined by my Dr. and the radiologist that my wrist isn’t broken.  Another set of x-rays were taken to make sure that nothing new had taken place or that an existing fracture had not opened up.  The opinion now is a sprain.  However, if the pain continues to stomp up and down in my wrist until my appointment next week there will be a MRI ordered.  I wonder, do they make your whole self go into that suffocatingly narrow, anxiety inducing, gotta get out of here tube, just for a wrist?  Am praying I do not have to go to the abode of the suffocatingly narrow, anxiety inducing, gotta get out of here tube, to find out.

Be receptive to your husband’s hugs, kisses, caresses, and hand holding. It is just too easy in our busy lives as wives to brush off that touch that is saying I need to connect with you.

My husband often takes me to a scrapbook store that is about 30 minutes away.  He seems to like seeing what I am drawn to and even finds a few very interesting items for me to incorporate in my hobby.  I enjoy the time he spends with me this way.  So I began to wonder if he would enjoy me returning the interest.
Does your husband enjoy browsing/shopping at the home improvement store?  Instead of sending him by himself go with him.  Ask questions about the items he stops to look at.  Learn about his interests in this area.  Maybe you can come up with some interesting items for his use.
Give it a try.

Pray for your husband’s work commute.

Bless your husband with specific prayer.

I have recently been doing some serious scrapbooking.  I had been averaging 6 pages a week since the middle of January.  The right hand restraint problem has slowed things down a bit but I have managed to get a couple done.

Make sure you have replacement light bulbs for every light in your house. This way your husband can change the burnt out bulbs any time it is needed without having to run to the store.
Bless your husband today by being organized and making his life a bit easier.

This is day 4 of wrist immobilization and I am so ready for this to be off.  Or should I say I was wanting this splint off badly, until dinner last night.  We had “cook at home” pizza last night after church.  I opted to eat mine with a fork since it was too hot to pick up.  I put that fork in my right hand, positioned it to make the first downward cut, applied pressure, and dropped the fork.

Make today a day of no discouraging, sarcastic, or angry words.  Ask God to  “Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.” Ps 141:3
If any of those type of words begin to surface quickly ask for God’s help in changing them to words of encouragement, sweetness, and love.

Please forgive any and all typos.  Am typing one fingered with the right hand.  My right wrist has been splinted until Thursday.  Then it will be decided whether or not the wrist needs to have a cast on it.  My Dr. believes that the wrist may be fractured.   It is not a big glaring fracture so the x-rays have been sent for a 2nd opinion.

Three times today and 3 times a day over the weekend “touch” your husband’s heart.
Example: Make him a special breakfast, offer him his favorite beverage, massage some sore muscles, grab him and give him a BIG kiss, kiss the top of his head IF you can reach it, etc. Think of things that your husband would appreciate. Remember to do this three different times each day.
