45 grams of carbs, doesn’t sound like much does it?  I guess it is all in the way you look at it.  I learned today just how much food there can be in a meal that contains 45 grams of carbs.  I wouldn’t be able to eat 1/2 of some of it.   Now if you like sugary cereal or ice cream you can reach the 45 carb limi real fast.

Meet your husband at the door with a kiss and a hug.  Then hug him everytime you get close enough.  The hugs can be long, snuggled in hugs or short little squeezes.  Which ever kind you choose make sure there are plenty of them.

Nothing has been done on the Christmas insanity so far today.  We had diabetes ed. class this morning from 9 – 12.  Learned a few things I didn’t already know.   Sometimes this challenge can be depressing but I figure the more I know the easier it will be to fight the battle.

What is your husband’s favorite Christmas treat.   If possible make him some today or this week.  Show him he is special enough not to have to wait til Christmas for a treat he really enjoys.

My Christmas insanity (as my dil refers to it) has over taken me again this year.   I am making 2 dresses, 1 jumper, 4 pairs of cargo like pants and 4 fleece vests.  2 of the dresses and 2 pairs of pants and 2 vests MUST be done by Christmas Eve.  I have an extra week to do the other 2 pairs of pants, vests and the jumper.  At least this year the dresses don’t have the 360 degree skirts with the sparkly overlay.  Also they don’t have zippers.  I thought I was on easy street for sure.

 Think of all the little things your husband does for you.  Focus on the one that blesses you the most.  Write him a letter, card, or make an entry in the “I love you” journal thanking him for this “little” thing.
